Saltwater Fly Fishing – Get Supersized!

If the lure of the open water gets you going, then saltwater fly fishing is for you!  We’ve all seen TV footage of massive tuna or Marlin being hauled into fishing boats.  The grin on the fisherman’s face says it all.  Saltwater fly fishing can be quite the adventure.

Saltwater fly fishing requires top of the line equipment to ensure that you are not talking about the “one that got away.”  Make sure that your gear can hold up to the ravages of salt water. Use only stainless steel hooks as others will rust in saltwater. The proper weight line is critical for playing the fish and landing it in the boat. To prevent line burn purchase “stripping guards” or use band aids on your stripping finger.

Saltwater fly fishing is found all over the globe.  Whether you want to fish in California, Guatemala or New Zealand you will find locals eager to help you find the right area to fish. You will have an adventure to remember.
