Exhilarating Fly Fishing in Utah |
|
With its pristine waters and crisp mountain air, fly fishing in Utah
is not to be missed. Utah provides the fly fishing enthusiast with an
exceptional outdoor experience. The most popular areas to fish are
probably the Green River and the Provo River, but there are many lesser
known fly fishing spots to tempt you. Among our favorites are the
Flaming Gorge Reservoir, Lake Powell, Willard Bay Reservoir and Fish
Lake.
The Flaming Gorge Reservoir has spectacular scenery spanning the
mountains. Trophy size trout are almost commonplace here as well as
kokanee salmon and bass. Lake Powell is popular with houseboaters and
fishermen alike. With abundant stocks of crappie, walleye, pike and
bass this is truly one of the best places for fly fishing in Utah.
Willard Bay in Ogden is a popular place for fishing and camping with
species such as walleye, catfish and crappie. Fish Lake in the south
of Utah has good fishing for perch and trout.
If you are visiting to do some fly fishing in Utah, we recommend
that you use a guide service if you are going to venture into one of
the more remote areas or just want to find the best places to fish.
After all these people know the area better than most and can save you
time and money in the long run.
